Howard takes fourth in steeple at World University Games...

GWANGJU, South Korea—Pasco HS alum Marisa Howard (left/photo by Paul Merca) finished fourth in the finals of the women’s 3000 steeplechase Friday night at the World University Games in Gwangju, South Korea.

Howard, the fourth place finisher at this year’s NCAA championships for Boise State, ran 9:50.64, as Ekaterina Sokolenko of Russia won in a World University Games meet record 9:25.77.

Natalia Vlasova was second in 9:35.99, and Turkey’s Ozlem Kaya was third in 9:37.79.
