Kara Patterson in Harry Jerome javelin field...

Vancouver native Kara Patterson (left/photo by Paul Merca) headlines a group of athletes with Washington ties competing in Thursday's Harry Jerome Track Classic at Swangard Stadium in Burnaby, British Columbia.

Patterson, the five-time US national champion and two-time Olympian, will face Brittany Borman in the women's javelin, along with Canada's Liz Gleadle.

Wenatchee native Hannah Kiser is entered in the national section of the women's mile, while Jessica Tebo and Angela Bizzarri of the Brooks Beasts are entered in the international section, along with Seattle resident Laura Carlyle.

Edmonton native Angela Whyte, who is coached by Washington State's Wayne Phipps, is entered in the 100 meter hurdles, while Erica Moore of the Brooks Beasts is in the 800.

Washington alum Kyle Nielsen, a British Columbia native, is entered in the javelin.


Flotrack will have streaming video of the meet, the final stop on the Canadian National Track League circuit (Pro account required).
